States Authorized for Direct Shipment
Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, to determine if we can ship to you please create an order and verify that your state is available as a shipping address for us. Some of the state laws are not straightforward and have certain conditions. For example, some states allow consumers to purchase wine while visiting the winery and have it shipped home but don't allow wineries to ship without order being placed physically while on site. Other states have annual alcohol quantity limits for consumers that need to be tracked.
United Parcel Service Ground is Brander Vineyard, Inc.'s carrier of choice (common carrier). Ground shipping is provided by UPS Ground at current market rates. Wine Club shipments are shipped by ground during weather friendly months. Express shipping can be requested for addional cost.
Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. To preserve wine quality in transit, we hold orders when temperaturess exceed 85°F or fall below 35°F along the shipping route. In the case that the customer chooses to ship wine when we have recommended it to be held due to temperature, Brander Vineyard, Inc. is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
