Gallery, where you can also order prints.
We also have slideshow
of the hard-working people who prepared the fantastic
food.
17 of our neighboring wineries
poured their dry rosé wines - a perfect accompaniment
to these delicious dishes. Click here

2004 SAUVIGNON BLANC BOTTLING
With
all of the attention given to the 2003 Sauvignon Blanc
(91 points from Wine Enthusiast, Wine
Spectator's Wine of the Week and Smart Buy -
twice -), the wine sold out months ahead of normal.
So when it came time to bottle the 2004 vintage, we
decided to use a mobile bottling truck - much faster
than our own bottling line. With wine, bottles, corks,
capsules and labels at the ready, we hooked up to
the mobile bottling line. The glass and wine went
in on one side and the finished product appeared on
the other. Not quite magic, but certainly impressive
and satisfying. Bob Dickey took photographs of the
process, some of which are here. But if you'd like

SANTA BARBARA BOUILLABAISSE FESTIVAL
2004
The
Santa Barbara Bouillabaisse Festival is a local food
and wine tradition, featuring 20 specially selected
top local restaurant chefs who offer up their best
bouillabaisse recipes to a panel of expert culinary
critics. The Festival also features dry rosé
wines from local wineries and a silent auction featuring
an impressive array of luxury items. Proceeds from
the Festival benefit local nonprofit Hospice of Santa
Barbara, which provides cost-free services to meet
the emotional, social and spiritual needs of people
facing the end of life or grieving the death of a
loved one.
El Encanto was the big
winner - first in the Classic category, as well as
Best in Show and the People’s Choice Award.
Two other standouts were Olio e Limone, which
won third place in the Cioppino category, and The
Ballard Inn, which won second prize in the Open
category.
